The Merchandising Assistant supports the Merchandising department and broader cross-functional team across the full product lifecycle, from concept through commercialization. This role also contributes to the execution of merchandising strategies and business initiatives that drive company and account growth.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Own SKU creation and maintenance within PLM, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all systems.
- Support the Merchandise Manager in building and maintaining merchandising presentations and tools.
- Assist in competitive analysis and market research to inform assortment and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate product samples for key meetings, account submissions, and photo shoots.
- Partner with merchandising, and sales teams to support execution of seasonal photography, including product and lifestyle imagery.
- Manage team shipments to and from Denver Office
- Assist with additional tasks, including administrative duties and special projects, when applicable.
- In addition to these functions, employees may be required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required by the immediate manager or supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
- Analytical mindset with a foundational understanding of retail math.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with PLM systems is a plus; willingness to learn and achieve proficiency is required.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Adaptable and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Apparel & Textiles, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0–1 year of relevant experience including previous internships in merchandising or product development preferred.
