About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Electrical Engineering leader who has a mix of broad hardware systems knowledge and cross functional team leadership skill. You will be responsible for managing and mentoring the Electrical, Camera, RF and other specialized teams building our new products. As an engineering leader you will be able to influence product definition and be called on to lead during critical moments with direct access to the executives of the company.

Responsibilities

→Manage the Electrical Engineering team, including system generalist engineers and SMEs: RF, camera, power
→Be a key leader for all NPI projects, ensuring the team is designing to a high standard, solving problems effectively, and that our devices are capable of achieving performance targets.
→Critical partner to the TPM and Embedded software teams
→Author and implement process improvements as we improve how we design, validate, and qualify our products and partners
→Influence product roadmap by offering innovative technology options and by highlighting major risks.

10+ years of experience as a hardware engineering leader, OEM, ODM, JDM all valuable
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience managing teams of engineers and being responsible for multiple projects concurrently
Very strong domain knowledge in electronics development:
Experience with board bring up, power supply and signal integrity testing as well as debug and root cause analysis
Experience with various interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, DDR, eMMC, NAND flash etc.
Experience with Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, 4G/5G, cameras, batteries, and other peripherals

15+ years of experience as a cross-functional engineering leader
Experience managing the full engineering lifecycle for Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Reliability, Quality, Sustaining teams
Able to define electromechanical architecture as well as vendor selection criteria
Clear communication skills and ability to manage escalations with CEO-level visibility

The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. For this role, the compensation range is:
