About the Role
As the Insurance & Accident Cost Control Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end insurance, accident, and repair lifecycle for the fleet. The role's primary objective is to minimize total accident-related costs, improve vehicle turnaround times, optimize insurance economics, and ensure vehicles return to revenue-generating operations as quickly as possible.
You will act as the key liaison between internal operations teams, brokers, insurance companies, surveyors, internal maintenance PIC and Workshops while developing processes, controls, analytics, and governance frameworks to support a rapidly scaling fleet operation. Your work will directly influence fleet availability, insurance costs, claims performance, and overall profitability.
Manage the end-to-end insurance and accident claims process, ensuring timely claim submission, approval, settlement, and closure.
Monitor and improve claims ratio, insurance costs, and overall accident-related expenses across the fleet.
Drive reduction in vehicle downtime by tracking accident cases, SPK issuance, repair progress, and workshop turnaround times.
Assess repair versus total loss decisions and recommend the most economical outcome for the business.
Build strong working relationships with brokers, insurers, surveyors, and workshops to improve service levels and claim turnaround times.
Design and implement claim, repair, and accident management processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
Develop pre-approval mechanisms and process improvements to accelerate claim approvals and vehicle repairs.
Monitor accident, repair, and insurance performance through regular reporting, analytics, and management dashboards.
10+ years of experience in motor insurance, fleet operations, claims management, or accident management.
Strong understanding of commercial vehicle insurance, claims processes, and repair economics.
Experience managing insurers, brokers, surveyors, and workshop networks.
Proven track record in reducing claim costs, improving repair turnaround times, and managing high-volume accident portfolios.
Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in fleet, mobility, leasing, transportation, logistics, or automotive industries preferred.
