GreenLife Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced HVAC professional to lead technical operations and oversee subcontractor work across residential energy efficiency projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong field experience who can bridge the gap between installation, project management, and technical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage HVAC subcontractors to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform and review Manual J load calculations
- Evaluate systems and determine repair vs. replacement recommendations
- Order and manage warranty parts and equipment logistics
- Support energy auditors and specialty teams with technical expertise
- Review permits, inspections, and ensure code compliance
- Develop and write detailed HVAC proposals and scopes of work
- Provide guidance on system design, installation best practices, and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- Strong HVAC installation background (hands-on experience required)
- 5+ years of HVAC and/or building performance experience
- Proven experience managing subcontractors or crews
- Deep technical knowledge of residential HVAC systems
- Ability to perform Manual J calculations (or equivalent load analysis)
- Experience with permitting, code requirements, and inspections
- Strong attention to detail in proposals and documentation
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong ability to diagnose energy efficiency and HVAC system issues
- Working knowledge of insulation, air sealing, and whole-home performance
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Preferred:
- Experience with energy efficiency programs.
- BPI certification or similar credentials
- Familiarity with residential weatherization and whole-home performance
