Tennis/Pickleball Professional (PT)

SUMMARY Provide private and group tennis instruction for adults and juniors of all ages and abilities assigned by the Director of Tennis. Assist with tournaments, leagues and growth of all tennis clinics through a team approach to grow the tennis business. This is a year round position that includes providing tennis instruction exclusively for the Resort during all seasons.    Applicants must submit 25 hours of availability per week.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Understand and apply the Resort’s and Club’s mission statements to all work activities Collaborate with Head Tennis Professional and Assistant Professional on all tennis related activities Assist in teaching of Adult and Junior tennis activities including: Lessons, Leagues, Mixers, Tournaments and other related tennis activities Help supervise junior tennis leagues Lead young junior classes String, or learn to string, tennis racquets using the USRSA’s standards Assist in non-tennis related activities as needed Assist with facility checks Perform any/all duties assigned by manager Understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort Other duties as assigned   EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE High School experience or better Tennis knowledge   OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Communication, administrative, and teaching Skills Dependable, Responsible and follows through Outgoing Personality Team Player Takes Direction well   SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (If applicable) None   TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS Able to stand/teach tennis for long periods of time.   TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS Must maintain an up-beat, positive attitude and encouraging nature. WORKING CONDITIONS Noise level is moderate. Working environment is indoors/outdoors in variable weather. Hours and days required are varied and will include nights and weekends.
