We're looking for a senior analytics professional who combines strong technical capability with a genuine consulting mindset. You'll partner closely with leaders across the business, uncover the real questions behind complex challenges and use data-driven insights to influence decisions that drive meaningful commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the insurance business, you will:
- →Build trusted relationships across the business and become a go-to advisor on data-led decision making
- →Partner with stakeholders to define business problems, identify opportunities and develop practical analytics solutions
- →Challenge assumptions and help stakeholders uncover the insights that matter most
- →Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence strategic decisions
- →Lead analytics initiatives that improve customer, claims and commercial outcomes
- →Provide project leadership across cross-functional analytics initiatives
- →Deliver predictive analytics, modelling and data-driven insights to support growth, retention and profitability
- →Apply advanced analytical techniques across pricing, portfolio management and customer outcomes
- →Develop proactive monitoring and insights that identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities
- →Contribute to strategic initiatives across Analytics, Pricing and the broader business
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A proven ability to build credibility with leaders and influence decision-making through data-driven insights
- Strong consulting, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to frame business challenges, ask the right questions and develop practical solutions
- A demonstrated ability to balance analytical rigour with commercial pragmatism
- Extensive experience in predictive analytics, statistical modelling, actuarial pricing or a related analytical discipline
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience with tools such as Python, R, SQL, MS Fabric, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau or similar
- A tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, Actuarial Studies or similar
Experience within General Insurance is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from analytics, data science, statistics, engineering, actuarial and other quantitative professionals who bring strong business partnering, consulting and problem-solving capability.
In your first six months, you'll build strong relationships across the business, develop a deep understanding of our operations and identify opportunities to create value through analytics. Over time, you'll establish yourself as a trusted advisor, helping leaders make better decisions through data-driven insights and predictive analytics.
