This role blends strategic planning and direction with hands-on execution and implementation, ensuring that our B2B emails directly contribute to increased subscriber growth, stronger engagement and retention, and improved lead generation outcomes. You will oversee the day-to-day management of our B2B newsletter portfolio, including promotion, production, testing, segmentation, and performance analysis, while identifying opportunities to improve existing products and launch new newsletters.

Key Responsibilities:

Newsletter Strategy

  • Develop and execute data-informed newsletter strategies to grow subscriber audiences, deepen engagement, and support lead generation across multiple technology brands.
  • Create and implement clear newsletter playbooks covering email promotion, subscriber marketing, audience segmentation and testing that can be applied across the portfolio.
  • Monitor email marketing trends, new technologies, and competitor activity to ensure ongoing innovation and continuous improvement.

Newsletter Production and Growth

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day production and scheduling of newsletters, ensuring timely delivery, editorial accuracy, and consistent brand standards.
  • Develop and implement subscriber initiatives to increase newsletter sign-ups through on-site promotion, partnerships, events, and other audience development channels.

Analytics & Performance Optimization

  • Define and track key newsletter performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to improve engagement and business outcomes.
  • Use email marketing platforms and analytics tools to understand subscriber behavior, identify trends, and refine content and segmentation strategies.
  • Continuously test and optimise send times, content formats, and audience segments to maximize open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.

Commercial Support

  • Collaborate with commercial, events, and marketing teams to integrate our newsletters with revenue initiatives and goals.
  • Develop newsletter campaigns and promotional opportunities that support event registrations, and other marketing goals.
  • Track and report on the contribution of newsletter initiatives to lead generation and broader commercial performance.

Subscriber Experience and List Management

  • Maintain high standards of list hygiene, data quality, and compliance with relevant email marketing regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and manage audience segmentation strategies to deliver relevant and personalized content experiences.
  • Monitor subscriber feedback and engagement patterns to identify opportunities to improve retention, reduce churn, and strengthen audience loyalty.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in newsletter management, email marketing, audience development, or digital marketing, ideally within B2B media or the technology sector.
  • Proven expertise in managing newsletter programs that drive subscriber growth, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including audience segmentation, A/B testing, GDPR compliance guidelines, deliverability, and list hygiene.
  • Experience using email service providers and marketing automation platforms, with the ability to build, schedule, and optimize newsletter campaigns.
  • Good understanding of lead generation and conversion strategies, including promoting event registrations, webinars, whitepaper downloads, and othermarketing initiatives.
