Gushwork is reinventing how businesses get discovered online. We're an agentic AI startup helping B2B companies show up in AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity — by building a content engine on their websites designed to attract AI visitors alongside human ones. We're a US- and Bengaluru-based company backed by top-tier global VCs including SIG, Lightspeed, B Capital, and Beenext, with over $11M raised.
Search behavior is shifting fast toward AI, and most B2B companies are being left behind. We're changing that — moving fast, solving hard problems, and building what's quickly becoming critical infrastructure for how buyers find solutions.
We're at an exciting inflection point. If you want to work on hard problems with a sharp team in a high-growth environment, we'd love to meet you. More about the role below — if it feels like a fit, we're excited to meet you!
Getting a customer live is the moment our product starts delivering value, and for many accounts, that moment runs through a technical setup on the customer's own web infrastructure.
You'll be the technical voice customers and our Customer Success team turn to when that setup needs a human: answering DNS, reverse-proxy, and networking questions, getting on calls with customers' IT teams, and configuring the deployment that puts Gushwork's pages live on their domain.
Our CSMs own the relationship; you own the technical confidence behind it. When an account has questions we can't field, a skeptical IT team, or a setup that needs to be done together on a call, you're who makes it happen.
This is a high-leverage role early on: you won't just unblock accounts, you'll build the guides, scripts, and enablement that mean fewer accounts need a human at all.
Be the technical point of contact during onboarding for accounts that need hands-on setup — fielding DNS, reverse-proxy, and networking questions from customers and from our CSM team.
Get on calls with customers' technical and IT teams to explain, validate, and configure the reverse-proxy and DNS setup (subdirectory and subdomain) that serves Gushwork's pages on their domain.
Handle technical objections and security concerns with clarity — including why DNS / reverse-proxy access is needed and how it's safe.
Verify deployments end-to-end: pages serving correctly, valid SSL, no mixed content, and — critically — pages that are crawlable and indexable, so they actually rank and deliver results.
Equip non-technical CSMs with the knowledge, scripts, and documentation to handle common cases without escalation.
Diagnose customer web stacks (CDN, hosting, CMS) ahead of calls, recommend the right deployment path, and pre-empt blockers before they stall onboarding.
Build and maintain platform-specific setup guides (Cloudflare, Vercel, Akamai, CloudFront, nginx/Apache, WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify) and internal enablement, so the need for live human intervention shrinks over time.
Act as the escalation bridge to Engineering when a deployment surfaces a product issue, and feed recurring patterns back as fixes.
2–5 years in a customer-facing technical role — Solutions Engineering, Technical Onboarding, Implementation, or L2/L3 Technical Support.
Genuine, hands-on fluency with DNS (A, CNAME, ALIAS/ANAME, TTL, NS delegation, apex-domain limitations) and reverse-proxy / edge configuration across stacks (Cloudflare Workers and rules, Vercel/Netlify rewrites, Akamai, CloudFront, nginx, Apache).
Working knowledge of CDNs, SSL/TLS provisioning, HTTP, and common hosting/CMS platforms.
Excellent written and spoken English — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and write polished, customer-facing emails unsupervised.
Calm, credible, and persuasive on live calls with customers' IT teams, including objection handling under pressure.
Comfort with ambiguity and a bias to build the playbook, not just follow one.
Background at a CDN, edge, or hosting company (Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, GoDaddy) or a martech/SaaS company with website-integration onboarding (MoEngage, CleverTap, WebEngage, Freshworks).
Familiarity with technical SEO and "edge SEO" — crawlability, indexability, canonicalization, robots.txt, sitemaps.
Experience writing customer-facing documentation or building internal enablement.
Comfort with light scripting and tooling to automate diagnostics (dig, curl, basic Python or JavaScript).
