We’re Hiring: Collection Clerk

Location: Henry County Treasurer’s Office
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary Range: $36,867–$37,999 annually ($18.91–$19.49/hour) | 37.5-hour work week

The Henry County's Treasurer's Office is looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Collection Clerk to join our team and help keep the County's finances running smoothly.

What You'll Do
As a Collection Clerk, you'll be at the heart of the Treasurer's Office, handling the money that keeps our community moving. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Receiving and processing tax payments, licenses, fees, and other County revenue
Preparing daily check deposits and balancing your cash drawer
Helping walk-in taxpayers with questions about their taxes and records
Processing utility payments, EFTs, and State tax payments
Resolving citizen inquiries and service requests with professionalism and care

Minimum Requirements

A high school diploma or GED
Strong cash handling and customer service skills
Comfort working with computers and standard office software
A friendly, professional demeanor — you'll be the face of the Treasurer's Office for many residents
Prior experience in collections, banking, or as a tax clerk is a plus, but not required — comparable training or experience will be considered
