We’re Hiring: Water & Sewer Service Technician

Location: Henry County Service Center, Bassett, VA
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Salary Minimum: $38,899 annually ($18.70/hour)

The Henry County Public Service Authority is looking for a Water & Sewer Service Technician who wants a stable, meaningful career keeping our community’s essential services running safely and reliably.

What You’ll Do

Perform repairs and install new water and sewer lines, pumps, fire hydrants, and related equipment.
Respond to emergencies and service calls as part of an on-call rotation, including some nights and weekends.
Work as part of a supportive crew that values safety, teamwork, and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Working knowledge (or strong interest and aptitude to learn) in water and sewer system maintenance, repair, and installation.
Ability and willingness to work on-call, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement, or the ability to obtain it within 18 months of hire (training support may be available).
Someone who is reliable, ready to learn, and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
