We’re looking for a proactive, people-focused HR Officer to support day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle for our teams in South Africa and the UK. 


The Role 

This is a broad generalist role suited to someone who enjoys balancing pace and detail, building trusted relationships, and helping ensure HR processes are compliant, consistent and people-centred. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage joiner, mover and leaver processes, ensuring documentation is accurate and completed on time. 
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters, amendments and onboarding documentation. 
  • Coordinate onboarding, inductions, probation reviews and offboarding processes. 
  • Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing guidance on policies and procedures. 
  • Support employee relations and performance processes, including absence tracking and process administration. 
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support HR reporting, payroll inputs and benefits administration. 
  • Help ensure compliance with UK and South African employment requirements, as well as GDPR and POPIA. 
  • Support recruitment coordination, HR process improvements, policy rollout and employee engagement activities. 


Skills & Experience 

Essential 

  • Experience in an HR Officer, HR Generalist or senior HR administration role 
  • Relevant HR qualification 
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail 
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills 
  • Understanding of HR compliance and data privacy requirements 


Desirable 

  • Experience supporting both South African and UK HR processes 
  • Experience in a creative, professional services or fast-paced environment 
  • Experience using an HRIS such as BambooHR 
  • Exposure to recruitment, onboarding and performance cycles
