Maintenance Handyman

MAINTENANCE MANAGER

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Handyman. The successful candidate will ensure that all hotel rooms, spa facilities, public areas and operational equipment are maintained to a premium standard while supporting a seamless guest experience. Strong painting skills will be an advantage

Key Responsibilities 

Guest Area Maintenance 

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from housekeeping, font office and spa
• Conduct routine inspections and repairs of guest room fixtures and fittings.
• Assist with upkeep of spa and wellness facilities.

General Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform basic plumbing repairs including leaks, blocked drains, taps and toilets.
• Carry out basic electrical fault finding and replacement of lights and fittings.
• Complete minor carpentry, tiling, plastering, painting and decorating tasks.

Preventative Maintenance

• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
• Clean and inspect air conditioning filters and drains.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and stock/tool records.

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
• Use tools, equipment, electricity and water responsibly and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

• 5-7 years maintenance or building maintenance experience
• Hospitality, hotel and estate experience will be advantageous
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general repair work
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
