The Opportunity

Herbal Goodness is a premium, fast-growing superfood and supplement brand looking for a Strategic Operations Manager. We are not just looking for a manager to build out our in-house manufacturing capabilities and position the company for significant scale and a future exit.

If you are an expert in CPG operations, obsessed with cGMP compliance, and have the financial acumen to drive gross margins, this is your opportunity to build a legacy.

About Herbal Goodness

Herbal Goodness is a wellness brand based in McKinney, TX. We source the highest quality organic superfoods and herbs to create impactful products (teas, extracts, supplements) that support holistic health. We are mission-driven, donating 10% of our profits to support girls' education in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Business Support

  • Executive Leadership: Serve as the CEO's right-hand operations lead, providing leadership as needed. Participate in setting Short-, Medium-, and Long-Term company goals and in strategy planning.
  • Cost Optimization: relentless focus on the bottom line. Lead initiatives to reduce Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by 10-15% and optimize the cost structure to target gross margins.

2. Manufacturing & Facility Build-Out

  • In-House Manufacturing: Lead the setup, growth, and operations of our liquid and tea production lines at the new Eldorado facility.
  • Facility Optimization: oversee facility optimization and growth (U-flow zoning, vertical racking) to maximize efficiency.
  • Compliance & Certifications: Drive FDA/DSHS compliance and ensure the facility meets NSF, SQF, cGMP, and Organic certification requirements.
  • ERP Implementation: Oversee the continued integration of our ERP system across manufacturing, warehousing, and fulfillment.

3. Supply Chain & Inventory Management

  • Inventory Logic: Execute strategies to increase inventory turns and improve cash flow.
  • Forecasting: Lead demand forecasting to eliminate Out-of-Stocks (OOS) while managing product discontinuation and scrap execution (Targeting a lean catalog reduction by 50%, resulting in <60 Active SKUs).
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with COA-verified organic suppliers to ensure quality and price stability.
  • Fulfillment Excellence: Oversee all D2C (Shopify, Amazon) and B2B fulfillment, achieving shipping standards and freight efficiencies.

4. Team Management

  • People Management: Manage remote team leads and on-site warehouse/manufacturing staff.
  • Accountability: Develop and drive team KPIs and "Rocks," ensuring alignment with the broader company strategy.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: 5 - 7+ years in Operations Leadership within the CPG, Dietary Supplement, or Food & Beverage industry.
  • Regulatory Expert: Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 111, cGMP, and organic certification requirements. You have been through audits before.
  • The "Builder" Mindset: You aren't just maintaining a machine; you are building one. You are comfortable with the chaos of a facility build-out and the structure of a small business with a growth-minded strategy.

Why Join Us?

  • Impact: You will directly shape the future of a purpose-driven company.
  • Growth: You will lead high-level M&A and strategic initiatives rarely offered in standard Ops roles.
  • Culture: Join a passionate, diverse team committed to quality and sustainability.
