As a compensation, benefits + payroll specialist/manager you are responsible for payroll management
across all countries of the region. You supervise the external payroll provider with diligence to execute
seamless monthly payroll conducting thorough compliance checks. The position operates as an
independent contributor.
As the region’s specialist in terms of compensation and benefits you support the HRBPs and HRD in all
matters regarding the creation, optimisation and follow up of the C&B strategy, in line with the Group’s
vision and guidelines. You will be in charge of all regular and ad hoc C&B related activities and as such
your contribution will be essential to maintaining Hermès Middle East position as an attractive employer in
the region. You will ensure rigorous monitoring of HR data.

~1 min read• Advise and support HRD and HRBPs in their compensation decisions (recruitment, internal
promotion, mobility) based on internal and external benchmarks.
• Conduct specific studies and identify and participate in external compensation surveys.
• Prepare the annual salary review process in the HRIS. Ensure its smooth running and coordinate
presentation summaries.
• In line with Group guidelines, develop manage benefit schemes across the region (Insurances,
company cars, share schemes….)
• Together with the finance department ensure proper payments of pension plans, end of service
calculations etc.
• Stay informed about latest trends and legal changes impacting compensation & benefits issues
across the region
• Implement the necessary measures to ensure that HR, managers and employees fully understand
the policy and remuneration components.
• Partner with recruitment manager on mobility cases within the group to propose relevant
remuneration and mobility packages.
• Manage the Payroll in the preparation, checking & processing of payroll for all employees of the
region in UAE, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.
• Partner with Finance on payroll reconciliations, provisioning of payroll costs etc
• Oversee the handling of queries from external agencies, eg in tax & social security authorities or
auditors
• Prepare & consolidate annual salary review files in line with the group’s budgetary guidelines and
deadlines
• Ensure all employees receive a monthly pay slip that clearly communicates all elements of their
monthly payroll.
• Support Retail Excellence on the definition of competitive commission schemes to drive the
business and execute the calculation and payroll entry of commission outcomes on a monthly
basis.
• Work on the basis of continuous improvement to improve the payroll processes on a periodic
basis and ensure compliance with any regional labour law changes.
• Monitor headcount, update social data and ensure high-quality reporting in line with the Group’s
guidelines.
• Coordinate campaigns for budget approvals for HC in line with business performance and in
collaboration with finance.
• Prepare in audits with HR and Finance as required.
• Ensure that jobs within the scope are correctly linked to the job catalogue in HRIS and audit this
data frequently.
• Identify areas for improvement in the job catalogue and propose enhancements to the Group
C&B team.
• Collaborate with HRD and HRBP to prepare, maintain and follow up a detailed budget of the
region’s HR costs ensuring the region’s defined C&B strategy is comprehensive and reflected in
the budget clearly.
• Partner with finance for regular budget tracking.
• Partner with HR Admin Manager for the annual CSRD reporting to include all relevant HR data on
an annual basis.
• Actively participate in the C&B community of Europe & Middle East and the Hermès Group.
• Represent the HME region in projects led by the Group and ensure their successful local roll-out.
• Collaborate with HRD/HR Admin Manager/HRBPs the selection of supplier and roll out of the
payroll and leave management automation project throughout 2026 and 2027.
• Collaborate on future projects.
• Timely delivery of payroll and all C&B activity in line with regional and group deadlines.
• Demonstrates an analytical approach to data and a firm understanding of C&B principals and
regional practices.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human resources, or related field is beneficial.
• Proven experience in managing payroll in the Middle East region.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office including excellent Excel skills.
• Experience of managing external benchmarking exercises, job classification and managing C&B
projects.
• Strong knowledge of local employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the highest level of
confidentiality.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
