Every piercing is performed by licensed nurses and guided by our Rowan Clinical Piercing Standard® and paired with our hypoallergenic products, setting a clear standard that is differentiated from traditional retail models. Our goal is to create a destination where customers feel confident, cared for, and excited to participate.

Rowan is looking for a detailed-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger and preparing journal entries.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounting and reconciliations
  • Complete and maintain bank reconciliations for all cash accounts.
  • Review sales tax returns generated by our third-party tax compliance software, assist with sales tax filings as needed
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Review coding of invoices, credit cards, and reimbursements for accuracy.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
  • Verify inventory costing is accurate, monthly counts are posted and ending inventory balances are reconciled.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Performs other accounting duties as assigned.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
  • At least three years of related experience required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and NetSuite or similar ERP software.

  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
  • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.
