Responsibilities

  • Accurately document client interactions and observations within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Complete shift notes, safety rounds, and client belongings inventories.
  • Document client non-compliance and behavioral incidents according to policy.
  • Follow all procedures outlined in the Behavioral Health Procedural Manual.
  • Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members regarding client progress and concerns.
  • Build positive, therapeutic relationships with clients while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans through consistent daily interactions.
  • Encourage and assist clients in attending all scheduled individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Monitor client behavior and activities throughout each shift while promoting compliance with program expectations.
  • Assist clients with daily routines, including:
    • Phone privileges
    • Computer use
    • Smoke breaks
    • Meals
    • Recreational activities
    • Gather clients for scheduled groups and activities while providing encouragement and support.’
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Observe and report changes in client behavior, mood, or safety concerns.
  • Immediately report safety hazards or incidents to leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.
  • Follow infection prevention protocols, including proper PPE usage and hand hygiene.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Assist with client admissions, including:
    • Drug and alcohol screening
    • Contraband searches
    • Orientation to the program
  • Support nursing staff during medication pass.
  • Assist with discharge processes, including:
    • Successful program completion
    • Administrative discharges
    • Against Medical Advice (AMA) discharges
  • Collaborate closely with clinical, nursing, and leadership teams to provide quality patient care.
  • Attend required staff meetings and ongoing training sessions.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain professionalism while contributing to a positive team culture

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts based on business needs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout the shift.
  • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings.
