About the Role
~1 min read- The Med Tech is responsible for the medication passing of both female and male clients suffering from addictions and behavioral health issues.
- Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Med Tech is responsible for management, administration, and education of all client medication.

~1 min read- QMA completed from an accredited school of Nursing.
- At least 2 years prior experience as a Medication Aide preferably with hospital and behavioral health experience
- Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.

- Impeccable ethics, integrity, and customer relations skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
- Knowledge of “best practices” behavioral medicine treatment delivery and methodologies
- Sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Schedule flexibility, holiday, and weekend rotation is REQUIRED.
- Must hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Set up and administer medications under supervision of a licensed nurse.
- →Obtain vital signs including O2 and perform blood glucose sticks (reporting information to licensed nurse)
- →Apply minor treatments after assessed by a licensed nurse.
- →Medication administration documentation in the client’s record
- →Apply topical medications and administer metered dose inhalers.
- →Administer enema’s the direction of the licensed nurse.
- →Obtain UDS and fecal matter specimens, test and document accordingly.
- →Clean medication carts and ensure no loose medications or expired medications are present.
- →Ensure medications are clearly labeled and tagged for reorder as needed.
- →Adheres to training and development standards set forth by Hickory, Joint Commission, and State Regulations
Compensation: $19.00-$24.00/hr
