Description:
Historic New England seeks seasonal, part-time Guides to work weekends at Historic New England’s Langdon House, where free and enslaved people lived in close proximity as the dramatic events of the American Revolutionary War unfolded around them. Guides will conduct tours of the museum property and assist with daily museum operations including ticket and membership sales. In addition to the presentation of interpretative tours, guides will participate in daily care of the museum spaces and collections and assist the Site Manager with public programs and group tours. Training is provided.
Qualifications:
Applicants should enjoy working with the public, have excellent communication skills, have an interest in inclusive history, and be comfortable working with computers. Experience in customer service desirable. Must be available weekend days, have a flexible schedule, and commit to employment through the end of the 2026 season, June - October.
