At Hiya, we're making calls safe, useful, and human again.

Voice is the most human form of communication, yet it's become one of the least trusted. Spam, scams, and AI manipulation have eroded what was once a simple way to connect. Hiya is changing that.

Each month our AI voice technology analyzes 28+ billion calls, protecting over 550 million users and 800+ businesses worldwide. Partnering with a growing global network including, AT&T, Samsung, British Telecom EE, Rogers, MasOrange,Bell Canada, MasMovil, and Virgin Media O2, we're not just stopping bad actors, we're helping people feel good and confident about picking up the phone again.

This is a pivotal moment for voice. As new threats and technologies accelerate, so does demand for trusted voice communication. Hiya is growing 40%+ year over year, expanding globally, and defining what voice becomes next.

Join us. You won't just work on what voice is today, you'll shape what it becomes tomorrow: smarter, safer, and genuinely worth answering again.

About the Role

~2 min read

The Protect team at Hiya builds products at the intersection of voice, telephony, and artificial intelligence. Our work spans both audio intelligence (e.g., deepfake detection, fraud intent detection, etc.) and conversational AI, specifically on voice AI agents that enhance protection and productivity for consumers in their mobile devices. We train our own proprietary models and use third-party solutions to complement our core offering.

Our products need to delight the end-users while at the same type provide strategic and commercial value to our telecom operator partners.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will have a key role in the team by leading one (or multiple of) these products. We are looking for someone that can work both at a strategic level, defining the vision and “why” we build what we build, while at the same time is very hands-on in the product development process, working side by side with engineers with a very clear “builder” mentality, going deep into the technical details of the solution.

The core of this role is not aimed at managing a backlog, running sprint plannings and standups and writing PRDs. This is a role that needs to be close to our customers to understand what they want, transform uncertainty into clarity, connect dots, build a product vision and execute it. You will own the product end-to-end.

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • Talk a lot to customers (telecom operators) and understand what they want and why.

  • Form a product vision to solve our customers and users problems.

  • Prioritize ruthlessly, say “no” a lot and make sure that everyone (team, customers and internal stakeholders) understands what we are doing and why.

  • Work closely with other teams at Hiya, in particular:

    • With our Engineering team to execute the vision, being hands on, setting priorities and prototyping ideas yourself. Sometimes creating your own PRs.

    • With our Research team to prioritze our model training roadmap.

    • With our Revenue team to uncover customer needs, price our products and support them in customer-facing meetings and events.

    • With our Legal team to understand how regulation shapes our product.

    • With our Finance team to work on our product economics, business cases and investment decisions.

  • You have at least one of the following experiences: (1) worked in product management at a venture-backed startup, (2) you have been a founder or early employee in a startup and were close to the product or (3) you have been a management consultant (MBB) and can prove that tech is not a new thing to you.

  • You likely have a technical background either by education or professionally.

  • You have a strong sense of urgency when you execute and instill that to the people that surround you.

  • The idea of building AI solutions that will impact millions of people in their day-to-day communications excites you.

  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty and you embrace autonomy, charting your own path and knowing when to ask for help.

  • You are very curious and like to understand how things work and are not afraid of trying or learning new things very fast.

  • Your way of working includes AI at its core to multiply the speed and quality of what you do.

  • You are close to the tech and AI ecosystem and you feel an urge to test the last model or product that was just launched.

  • You have excellent communication skills both written and spoken and you are able to structure your thoughts clearly to deliver your ideas to people.

Nice to Have

~1 min read
  • Experience with AI or voice AI either at the model, orchestration or application layer.

  • You have launched successful products before as PM.

  • You can show something you have built yourself without an engineer.

  • You have done something out of the normal in your life that shaped you to be who you are today.

Hiya is not a passive environment. We expect people to take ownership, form opinions, and engage directly with hard problems. We work with a high degree of transparency and autonomy. Context is shared openly, and decisions are discussed, challenged, and then made. Once a call is made, we commit and move forward.

You’ll be expected to work through ambiguity, weigh tradeoffs, and take responsibility for results—while keeping a high bar for quality and customer trust.

Every team member at Hiya is expected to live our core values:

  • Serve, our customers and partners by holding a high bar for trust and quality

  • Own, share in success and open up to failures

  • Lead, listen, show up with a point of view but commit entirely once a decision has been made

  • Improve, even if it means changing course or contradicting ourselves

  • Do, rather than observe
