Hours: 3pm-11pm

 

About Us: 

Red Balloon Urgent Care is a new urgent care facility dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric healthcare services to children of all ages. Red Balloon Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a 0.6 FTE position. We prioritize quality care, convenience, and compassion, striving to make a positive impact on the communities we serve. 

 

Position Overview: 

As a Nurse Practitioner at Red Balloon Urgent Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to pediatric patients during evening hours. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment where your expertise and skills will contribute to improving patient outcomes. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients presenting with urgent care needs. 

- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and conditions in accordance with evidence-based practices and protocols. 

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and coordinating follow-up care as needed. 

- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care. 

- Provide patient education and counseling to promote health maintenance and disease prevention. 

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. 

 

 

Qualifications: 

- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. 

- Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Minnesota. 

Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care (CPNP-PC) or Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Acute Care (CPNP-AC). 

Proficiency in conducting thorough physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating differential diagnoses. 

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and families. 

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
