This role follows a 1st shift schedule, working from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with designated days off on Friday and Saturday.


Responsible for performing tasks according to standard operating procedures (SOP) and best practices (BP). Some tasks include but not limited to, mixing produce with spices and oils, weighing out different ingredients, and prepping grains to be placed into the ovens as directed  by Team Lead and/or Production Cook.

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced work environment and reach daily goals given to by Supervisor.
  • Primary work location is the kitchen; however, this role may be reassigned to the assembly room as needed to support operations during staffing shortages
  • Must be detail oriented and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Must follow GMP and PPE standards as required in the RTE and RTH area such as; safety goggles, blue aprons and white plastic sleeves, captive footwear. 
  • Must report any damages, missing parts or foreign materials immediately to FSQA / Leadership.
  • Must follow all recipes and instructions to create  compound ingredients, correct proportions, and correct meal builds.
  • Must be able to receive direction from Supervisor,  Line Lead and/or Team Lead to fulfill production requirements
  • Must label packaging at the standard average rate
  • Must know how to use proper measuring utensils to portion ingredients
  • Must have strong attention to detail while picking ingredients in the Kitchen
  • Ability to transition between tasks when needed
  • Required to follow all GMPs while onsite at the facilities
  • Must keep work area clean at all times and assist in EOD clean ups

Responsibilities

  • Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facility
  • Support the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programs
  • Adheres to all safety guidelines (i.e. proper lifting techniques)

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma preferred but not required
  • 6+ months of production/warehouse environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with others as a team

Home Chef offers the base salary range as posted below, with the exact offer depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, and internal equity. While compensation is within the provided range, it is not typical for offers to be made at the upper end. In addition to base salary, Home Chef provides a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage, 401k match, and paid time off.
