Associate’s degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, such as military experience in an EHS related job field will also be considered.

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, food manufacturing, cold storage, industrial refrigeration, or a similarly regulated industrial environment preferred.
A fundamental working knowledge of OSHA general industry and EPA regulations is
Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration safety, OSHA Process Safety Management, EPA Risk Management Programs is a plus.
Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, SQF, or other food safety and quality systems in a food manufacturing environment is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively across functions are required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Teams and the ability to maintain records, analyze data, and prepare reports are required.
First Aid/CPR/AED and/or HAZWOPER safety training is a plus.

Must be able to work in manufacturing, warehouse, utility, and refrigeration machine room environments with exposure to cold, heat, humidity, noise, and wet conditions.

Must be able to walk the production floor, stand for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs, and access elevated or confined areas as needed.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, eye and hearing protection, hard hat, gloves, as applicable.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and perform routine inspection, monitoring, and sampling activities throughout the facility.
Company-provided PPE must be worn in designated production and operational areas.
Must be able to serve in an on-call capacity and respond to off-hours plant or ammonia refrigeration emergencies as required.
