Hands-on Lead and Mentor a team of data modelers, fostering strong modeling discipline, domain mastery, and consistency while delivering enterprise-grade conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Partner with the CDO organization, data product leaders, and engineering teams to define and operationalize enterprise canonical models that support analytics, AI, APIs, and operational use cases.
Define and govern enterprise data modeling standards (conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional) to ensure semantic consistency across data platforms, products, and domains.
Drive core data design decisions including entity definitions, relationships, hierarchies, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCDs), reference data, and master data alignment.
Enable AI- and analytics-ready data by ensuring models are well-governed, discoverable, and enriched with metadata, quality rules, and lineage.
Ensure data quality, usability, and scalability by proactively identifying modeling gaps, resolving semantic inconsistencies, and preventing downstream data defects.
Act as a bridge between business and technology, translating complex business domain concepts into clear, scalable data structures used across the enterprise.
7–10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise data modeling, ideally within financial services or highly regulated environments.
Proven experience designing:
Conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Dimensional models (Star/Snowflake), ODS, and canonical domain models.
Master data, reference data, and hierarchy structures.
Deep understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) concepts and platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM – Customer 360, Business 360, Reference 360).
Strong experience working with data lakehouse and analytical platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift) and aligning models across operational and analytical systems.
Expertise with data governance and metadata tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation) including business glossary alignment, data lineage, and stewardship workflows.
Ability to model for multiple consumption patterns: analytics, APIs, operational systems, and AI/ML use cases.
Solid SQL skills and hands-on experience validating models with real data.
Strong understanding of data quality dimensions, constraints, validation rules, and impact analysis.
