Senior Software Engineer (DOL- GPMS)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer supporting our client, the Department of Labor. 

The software engineer will have experience with process-based applications using SAP Business Objects. They will coordinate the configuration management aspects of OCIO technical project(s). Implement applications using Gitlab, JIRA, and follow software/database design best practices, performance standards, and develop code adhering to the latest IT security trends. Review and assist in planning and execution of software promotion through development, test, and production environments while supporting data migration activities. The software engineer must have experience working directly with end-users and SMEs to ensure technical programming functionality meets the desired system requirements.

• At least 10 years of hands-on application development experience leveraging Gitlab or similar software code repositories, with a good understanding of SAP Web Intelligence (i.e. Webi) tools, architectural principles, models, and patterns to implement solutions independently
• At least 7 years of experience with the business processes of government Grant Programs '
• Experience defining and implementing solution architecture for large, complex, and inter-related IT systems as well as proficiency with coding in modern object-oriented software/scripting program languages 
• At least 10 year experience of hands-on deliveries with SAP business report programming, SAP Universe Creation, and PL/SQL 
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/lnformation Systems/Engineering or other relevant discipline, a minimum of 10 years of Appian work experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree
