Job Summary
This role will be part of the Technology and Innovation Organization (TIO) and will be performing Technical Program Manager (TPM) responsibilities, focused on HP Smart Device Services, a technology that combines HP's world-class office printing devices with the power of the cloud and data analytics to offer a disruptive value proposition to our channel and direct service providers. SDS utilizes big data and machine learning, combined with business acumen, to differentiate HP's offerings in the managed print space. With this data paired with advanced analytics, SDS can provide service recommendations that can significantly reduce service costs on HP devices. The role will engage with teams throughout the company, manage print solution providers and resellers, and will have high visibility as a key contributor to the organization.
The TPM will lead a cross-functional team of individuals to drive the SDS roadmap and work with the go-to-market teams to help drive the adoption of SDS with our partners. The position is highly collaborative and requires agile leadership to prioritize and deliver across multiple stakeholders while collaborating with partners across the print organization.
This person will apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-organizational initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance for process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine the best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Manages and leads the SDS program, involving multiple functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation processes for SDS
* Manages a detailed backlog for implementing platform strategies aligned to the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on the needs of multiple stakeholders, organizations and product managers.
* Develops and directs the development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for SDS
* Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet program requirements and development schedule.
* Primary liaison to internal SDS partners and stakeholders
* Works with the GTM organization to drive SDS adoption
* Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules
* Collaborates closely with the Data Science and Engineering team to prioritize & drive new breakthrough technology to improve the service experience
* Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education and Experience Required:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
* PMP/PMI certification preferred.
* Typically 10+ years of experience, preferably in program management, product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits
Regular Employees
The salary range for this role is $114,450 to $176,250 CAD annually. Pay within this range will be based on the review of experience, skills, and internal equity.
As a full time, employee of HP Canada, you will be eligible to participate in the company's group benefit programs, including medical, dental, life insurance, and disability coverage, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. During your employment term, you will receive 15 paid vacation days per year prorated based on your start date. Detailed information regarding benefits—will be provided upon hire and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
