Role Overview
The Product Commercialization Lead is responsible for driving the successful end-to-end commercialization of new products, packaging changes, promotions, and other business initiatives. This role serves as the central coordinator across Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Technical, and external partners to ensure projects are executed efficiently, launched on schedule, and supported by operational readiness. The position plays a critical role in translating business and innovation plans into successful market execution through strong cross-functional alignment and project management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Commercialization, Marketing Operations, Project Management, or a related function within an FMCG environment for nationwide scope.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end product launches, commercialization projects, packaging changes, promotions, or innovation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, procurement coordination, production planning, and supplier management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timelines, milestones, and launch requirements are achieved.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience coordinating across Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Technical, Manufacturing, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Product Commercialization & Launch Management
- Lead the end-to-end commercialization process for new products, packaging updates, promotional initiatives, and other business-driven projects.
- Coordinate closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Technical teams, Manufacturing, and external suppliers to ensure successful project execution and launch readiness.
- Develop and manage project timelines, critical milestones, resource requirements, and launch plans to ensure on-time market delivery.
- Conduct supportability assessments and define production requirements to ensure operational feasibility and readiness.
- Oversee the readiness of raw and packaging materials, including quantity validation, artwork processing, approvals, and equipment or production line requirements.
- Monitor production milestones from trials and commissioning through commercial production and deployment.
- Identify and proactively address project risks, bottlenecks, and execution challenges to minimize launch delays.
Cross-Functional Planning & Coordination
- Support innovation, commercialization, and supply planning activities by ensuring alignment between business requirements and operational capabilities.
- Partner with relevant stakeholders to validate volume assumptions, production requirements, launch schedules, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate regular project reviews and provide visibility on timelines, risks, costs, and execution status to key stakeholders.
- Ensure all departments involved in commercialization activities remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
Post-Launch Management & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate post-launch performance and recommend actions related to forecast adjustments, material replenishment, inventory optimization, and supply continuity.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance commercialization processes, project governance, planning accuracy, and execution efficiency.
- Strengthen cross-functional workflows, reporting mechanisms, and visibility tools to improve speed, transparency, and overall launch effectiveness.
