Huge is looking for an experienced Technical Program Director to join our team in an embedded capacity with a large technology partner. In this critical role, you will support a technical stewardship team leader within a centralized team. You will be responsible for providing deep governance over technical infrastructure, driving large-scale automation initiatives, and safeguarding the organization against security and compliance risks.

The ideal candidate is a program and operations leader with a deep technical understanding and the ability to support high-level strategic planning, management of operational guidelines and parameters, strong communication skills, able to guide non-technical partners through technology solutions, and manage cross-functional stakeholder expectations. Should also be comfortable with agentic workflows and tools.

Responsibilities

Governance & Stewardship

  • Provide stewardship over Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
  • Review and approve technical infrastructure and compute budget requests.
  • Identify high-level anomalies, such as over-provisioning or unnecessarily expensive service editions (e.g., Enterprise vs. Standard), to deliver significant savings.

Automation & AI Ops 

  • Implement AI-led interfaces to automate resource requests and standardize intake processes for long-term scalability.
  • Utilize AI-driven anomaly detection to provide real-time spend visibility and infrastructure monitoring.

Security & Compliance

  • Oversee security vulnerability triaging and management across the marketing organization.
  • Execute zero-trust data access controls and lead evolving cybersecurity initiatives.

Product Ownership 

  • Own internal governance products such as digital property ownership tracking and accessibility and performance scan tools.
  • Drive the expansion and roadmap for these tools to improve the organization's technical posture.

Lifecycle Management

  • Manage reporting and outreach for end-of-life applications; facilitate upgrades or decommissioning of unused projects.
  • Ability to distill complex engineering and development subjects for non-technical audiences across marketing. You must be a "client whisperer" who can speak both technical and business languages.
  • Confidence to feel empowered to say "no" to requests that do not meet governance or budget standards, while acting as an escalation point for the team.
  • Proven track record in Technical Program Management (T/PgM) with experience in large-scale organizational processes.
  • Create standards and deploy them on a scaled level.
  • Craft measurement and track program success over a period of time.
  • Plan initiatives in a structured way over time, prioritize, and track progression.
  • Have fluent approaches to manage risk, budget, resources, and develop artifacts to communicate the insights and impacts.
  • Present or past development experience is strongly desired, and you must be comfortable with quick prototype solutioning, such as dashboard creation for internal usage.
  • Understand technical design documents (TDDs), approach conversations on frameworks and architecture required for delivering consumer marketing web app experiences
  • Some proficiency in cloud computing usage, principles, and management.
