What We Offer
~1 min readCybercrime is growing, and more businesses are getting hit by threats that used to target only the biggest organizations. That pushes defenders like us to operate at the highest level, and it deepens our need for good people who want to make a meaningful impact.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress is a remote-first team working to make enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We work closely with security teams and service providers protecting complex environments, often without the time or headcount to handle it all. That’s why we build our technology in-house and back it with a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC). As a result, our platform is never disconnected from the experts who manage it, ensuring our customers' protection.
Huntress now secures more than 5M endpoints and 11M identities worldwide. Those numbers keep growing because more businesses rely on us to help carry the load and operate with more confidence. Every day, you can see that commitment in how we stand with our customers and how we show up for each other.
Responsibilities
~3 min readThe Chief of Staff is a high-trust, high-leverage role that helps Huntress turn executive priorities into coordinated action. Reporting to the Chief People and Administration Officer, and alongside the CEO and executive leadership team, this leader will guide critical business decisions through sharp analysis, sound judgment, and practical thought partnership across the organization.
In this role, you will help run the executive operating system at Huntress. That includes driving clarity and accountability around initiatives, actions, and activities; helping leaders prepare for and follow through on quarterly business reviews and annual planning; strengthening company-wide communication; and stepping into the work that matters most when the business needs extra horsepower. Some weeks that will mean digging through complex data to frame a decision. Other times it will mean leading project execution, building alignment across functions, or assembling and motivating a small internal tiger team to solve an urgent challenge.
This is a role for someone who can move fluidly between strategic thinking and tactical execution. The right person will know how to zoom out and shape the big picture, then roll up their sleeves and get the work done. They will create momentum, make leaders more effective, move quickly, and help Huntress stay aligned, decisive, and operationally strong as we scale.
- →Serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief People and Administration Officer, CEO, and executive leadership team, bringing thoughtful analysis, business judgment, and honest perspective to important company decisions
- →Own the Board operating cadence from draft through distribution, including timeline management, stakeholder follow-through, final packaging, and secure, accurate delivery of Board materials and supporting pre-reads.
- →Coordinate end-to-end Board material preparation, including consolidating inputs, shaping clear executive narratives, pressure-testing content for quality and consistency, and ensuring materials are decision-ready for review.
- →Help run the executive operating system across Huntress, including initiative accountability, leadership follow-through, quarterly business reviews, and annual planning
- →Drive strategic alignment across departments and teams by connecting priorities, surfacing tradeoffs, and ensuring leaders stay focused on the outcomes that matter most
- →Identify decision opportunities early, gather the right information and stakeholders, frame the relevant options, and help executives move from context to decision with speed and clarity
- →Lead and support high-priority cross-functional work that may not fit neatly within a single function, adapting between strategic analysis, program management, and hands-on execution as needed
- →Build and scale operating rhythms, processes, and communication cadences that improve execution across the executive team, including initiatives, actions, activities, and company-wide messaging
- →Foster strong relationships across senior leadership, key stakeholders, and teams throughout the business in order to build trust, improve collaboration, and increase organizational effectiveness
- →Act as a force multiplier for the executive team by removing friction, increasing visibility into business progress, and helping others be more positive, effective, and successful
- →Step in as a clear and credible voice on behalf of the executive team when needed, helping communicate priorities, decisions, and context to the broader organization
- →Form, coordinate, and motivate focused internal teams to tackle critical business priorities, especially when the work requires urgency, cross-functional partnership, and sustained follow-through
- 8+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting, finance, program leadership, or a Chief of Staff role supporting senior executives in a scaling environment
- Proven ability to advise executives and senior leaders through ambiguity, using data, context, and judgment to shape better decisions
- Strong operator instincts with the ability to move between strategy, structure, and execution without getting stuck in any one mode
- Exceptional analytical capability, including comfort digging into complex business questions, building clear insights, and translating findings into action
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and keeping high-importance work moving across multiple teams and stakeholders
- A reputation for building trust quickly, handling sensitive information with care, and operating with maturity, discretion, and sound judgment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clarity, represent executive perspective, and tailor messages for different audiences
- Strong program management discipline and follow-through, with a bias toward action, accountability, and getting meaningful work across the finish line
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift, context evolves, and the job occasionally requires stepping into whatever is most needed
- A practical, low-ego leadership style and a clear desire to enable the success of others, not just drive visibility for yourself
