About the Institute of Foundation Models

As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on the core of cutting-edge foundation model training, alongside world-class researchers, data scientists, and engineers, tackling the most fundamental and impactful challenges in AI development. You will participate in the development of groundbreaking AI solutions that have the potential to reshape entire industries. This is a unique hybrid role designed for a versatile leader who can manage the transition to a new, larger office space and subsequently lead its long-term operations.

In the first phase, you will serve as the central point of contact for our office expansion. You will act as the "Lab’s Representative," ensuring our research lab is technically and physically equipped for our growing team.

Once the move is complete, you will transition into the primary steward of our expanded headquarters. You will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, safety, and ensuring our environment remains a world-class hub for innovation.

5+ years of experience in Facilities Management, Operations, or Construction Project Management, with a proven track record of leading commercial office relocations.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to read floor plans and blueprints; solid understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and IT/AV infrastructure requirements.
Vendor Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage complex multi-vendor environments and hold contractors to strict deliverables and timelines.
Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to act as a bridge between technical contractors and executive leadership.
Adaptability: Comfortable shifting from a high-intensity project management phase into a steady-state operational leadership role.
Local Presence: This role is based on-site at our Sunnyvale, CA location.
