Cleaning and Restoration Technician Job Summary

Assist in the timely and effective delivery of cleaning and restoration services.

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Qualifications and Experience

Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
Computer Skills: Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or some form of specialty cleaning (i.e. Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.)
Highly Desired Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC)
- Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT)* preferred but not required
Opportunities to advance into:
- Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
- Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
- Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
- Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
- Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)

Cleaning and Restoration Technician Responsibilities

Perform professional carpet, floor cleaning, and restoration services in alignment with company standards and available certifications.
Document work accurately, including authorizations, daily logs, and work orders.
Communicate clearly with customers, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities to add value or upsell services.
Maintain equipment, vehicles, and inventory, keeping tools and materials clean, organized, and ready for use.
Demonstrate accountability and growth, learning new technology, pursuing certifications, and upholding Voda’s quality and safety standards.
