Lead Fire Mitigation Technician
Servpro of Greater Covington & Mandeville- Covington, LA

We are a 24/7 Emergency Water & Fire Damage response company. This position requires a flexible work schedule; however, the primary work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with opportunites for overtimes.

As a Fire Mitigation Technician you must possess compassion, honesty and integrity to ensure that service is delivered in a caring, respectful and professional manner.

We are seeking an experienced fire mitigation technician to join our restoration team and assist with residential and commercial fire, smoke and soot damage recovery projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in fire restoartion, understands proper mitigation procedures, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work while helping customers through challenging situations.

Resposibilities:

Perform fire, smoke, soot and odor mitigation services for residential and commercial properties
Complete detailed inspections and evaluate fire and smoke damage conditions
Perform contents handling, pack-outs, inventory, cleaning and restoration processes
Clean and restore affected structures, surfaces, and belongings using industry-approved techniques
Perform demolition activites as needed, including removal of damaged materials
Set up and operate air scrubbers, hydroxyl machines, ozone equipment and other restoration equipment
Complete smoke and odor removal procedures
Document job progress with photos, notes, moisture readings, and daily reports
Mantain a clean, safe and organized job site
Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, insurance representatives, and team members
Follow safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards
Assist with emergency response calls and after-hours projects when needed

Qualifications:

2+ years of fire mitigation/restoration experience preffered
Strong knowledge of fire, smoke, soot and odor remediation processes
Experience with contents and structural cleaning
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Vaild drivers license
Have reliable transportation
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perfrom physical restoration work
Be authorized to work in the United States

Preffered Certifications:

IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)
IICRC Odor Control Technician (OCT)
IICRC Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician (UFT)
Osha Safety Certifications
Experience with Xactimate estimating sofware is a plus.
