Job Summary 
The Senior Accountant is an integral piece of the accounting and financial reporting of IMG.  The Senior Accountant works directly with other departments, specifically when facilitating month end close.




 

Job Details 

• Corporate Office located in Indianapolis, IN.

Duties and Responsibilities  

• Integral to monthly financial close process
• Preparation of other internal analysis / management reports
• Preparation of reconciliations and journal entries
• Carrier reporting and analysis
• External and internal audit preparation and assistance
• Facilitation of certain tax filings
• Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong background of accounting knowledge, ie. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Financial reporting experience
• Excellent understanding and working knowledge of Excel – formulas, sort and manipulate data, and format reports and charts

Preferred Skills 

• Accounting experience with an insurance firm
• Experience in a multidivisional organization
• International accounting experience
• Experience working with accounting software (e.g. Workday)
• CPA certification
