Senior Manager, R&D Accounting

Immunovant is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Manager, R&D Accounting to join our accounting team. This role you will assist with the clinical trials and R&D accruals processes and work closely with Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, and R&D teams. You will apply your existing accounting skills and knowledge, learn new skills, and play a key role in guiding the growth of the Accounting department.

• →Prepare month-end clinical and R&D accrual analyses, including reviews of CRO reports, patient costs, site accruals, and clinical manufacturing accruals, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
• →Prepare corresponding monthly journal entries and related supporting documentation.
• →Prepare monthly accounts reconciliations (clinical and related prepaids/accrued expenses).
• →Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, highlighting key trends and potential risks.
• →Review contracts and amendments to analyze/determine impact on clinical accruals.
• →Maintain SOX controls for assigned areas of responsibility.
• →Support the internal and external reporting requirements to ensure timely and accurate financial reports for management, investors, and regulatory compliance.
• →Work cross functionally with Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, Research and FP&A and other various business owners.
• →Work with external CROs and clinical /manufacturing vendors to ensure that accruals are accurately accounted for.
• →Assist with providing necessary documentation and explanations related to R&D accounting for the annual audit to our external auditors.
• →Possess a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to enhance accounting processes and systems.
• →Provide support as needs arise for special projects, system improvements, or ad-hoc requests.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Certified Public Accountant license preferred
• 5+ years Biotech experience, 2+ years of focus on clinical trial accrual accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls and financial close and reporting process.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite and Coupa is preferred.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft office suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to collaborate effectively across various teams.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities.
