Requirements
~1 min read- Requires an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- The Registered Nurse must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience
- Exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Additional advanced life support certifications may be required per unit or department specialty according to patient care policies
