Engineer Probe Technology

As an Engineer in Probing Technology, you will play a key role in supporting the development and optimization of probing technology within our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your academic knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge field. Job Description In your new role you will: * Assist in Procedure Development: Collaborate with the central hardware team and wafer test operations to define, execute, and document probing technology qualification procedures. * Learn and Operate Equipment: Gain hands-on experience with test equipment such as probers, probe card analyzers, and manipulators. * Experiment and Analyze: Conduct experiments to determine probe wear-out rates, stabilize contact resistance, and optimize probe tip diameters for various probe-pad combinations. * Track and Optimize Performance: Monitor probe card performance at productive test sites to enhance yield, lifespan, and maintenance efficiency. * Collaborate and Troubleshoot: Work closely with probing technology suppliers to address and resolve hardware-related challenges. * Contribute to Roadmap Development: Participate in quarterly reviews of the probing technology roadmap, aligning with Infineon’s test and wafer technology needs. * Grow and Develop: Engage in continuous learning opportunities to advance your technical expertise and soft skills. Your Profile You are best equipped for this task if you have: * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or MEMS (Micro-Electromechanical Systems) Technology. * Fresh graduates or those with up to 2 years of experience are welcome to apply. * Practical knowledge of semiconductor technology, including electrical and mechanical requirements. * Strong analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing). * Familiarity with test technology or related fields is a plus. * Passion for learning and growing in a technical environment. #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
