Senior Staff Unit Process Development Metrology

Develops, programs, and maintains automated vision systems for detecting defects in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production, focusing on PCB quality, optimizing inspection programs in Development projects to meet the project targets in term of timeline, quality, cost competitiveness and manufacturability. Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role * Troubleshoots equipment (AOI, SPI, reflow), and collaborates with production/quality teams for continuous process improvement, ensuring high-yield, defect-free electronics manufacturing. Responsible or support for technical handshake and knowledge transfer to Operations. * Generate and update relevant documents, eg Process Specification, PFMEA,DFMEA, Master FMEA, OJTI, T32, PDR. * Support prototype and development samples builds. * Provide inputs for updating of related documents and is responsible for their correct contents, eg Process of Record, Assembly Design Rule, Process Roadmap, Failure catalogue, Control Plan, Maintenance checklist, Unit process roadmap for development projects. * Liaise with suppliers for continuous improvement and perform verification and qualification activities for new tooling, machines and materials in Development projects. * Be the technical lead for task force and complex problem solving team using Statistical and analytical tools, eg SPC, APC, DOE, 8D, FMEA, DFMEA. Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed * Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant course with 10 years working experience in SMT or PCBA manufacturing industry or others relevant industry. * Strong hands-on experience and skills in SMT manufacturing, with hands-on work with AOI/SPI equipment. * Strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, knowledge of SMT processes, and proficiency with specific AOI/SPI software (e.g., Kohyoung, Vitrox, etc.). * Experience and know-how in automation, data analytics, and Industry 4.0 solutions to boost efficiency, often involving MES/IoT systems, low-code platforms, and digital twins in manufacturing and corporate settings is an added advantage. #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
