~1 min readWe are looking for a Facilities Tech Expert to support the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of technology used in learning environments across the UAE. This role is focused on ensuring that all classroom and virtual learning technology runs reliably before and during program delivery.
You will work closely with learning operations teams to prepare rooms, test systems, and provide real-time support to facilitators and learners. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working with AV systems, troubleshooting issues under pressure, and ensuring a smooth learning experience.
Set up and configure classroom technology including AV systems and collaboration tools
Prepare rooms for different learning formats including in-person, virtual, and hybrid delivery
Maintain equipment inventories and ensure all systems are ready for use
Test audio, video, connectivity, and collaboration tools prior to sessions
Ensure all systems are functioning correctly before program start
Identify and resolve potential issues in advance
Provide on-site technical support during training sessions
Troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively with minimal disruption
Support facilitators and participants with technical needs
Perform regular checks and preventive maintenance on equipment
Document technical issues and resolutions
Coordinate with IT teams for more complex technical problems
This role is based in the UAE, with primary placement at a training center in Dubai or Abu Dhabi and travel to additional sites as needed. Onsite presence is required during program delivery.
This role supports a dedicated client program and will be employed locally in the UAE in alignment with regional employment requirements.
4+ years of experience in AV technology, classroom technology support, or similar roles
Strong working knowledge of AV systems, videoconferencing tools, and collaboration platforms
Hands-on troubleshooting experience in live environments
Experience supporting virtual or hybrid learning setups
Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
Clear communication skills when supporting non-technical users
You are practical, reliable, and quick to respond. You take ownership of issues, stay calm under pressure, and focus on solving problems without overcomplicating them. You understand that a smooth learning experience depends on technology working exactly as expected.
