About the Role
~1 min readThe role is in the Central Strategy team at InMobi. This team crafts and drives the Group’s strategy across several levels – overall corporate strategy, business-unit strategy, and the review and operating architecture that aligns execution to both – and drives strategic partnerships that act as accelerators for that strategy. You will be a core member of this team (part of the CEO's office) and report into the Strategy Lead (Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations). You will work closely with business-unit leadership, with exposure to the Founder & CEO (Naveen Tewari).
You will operate with the direct sponsorship and air cover from the CEO’s office - which is how you’ll engage business-unit leaders and their teams, and drive outcomes through influence rather than formal authority.
You will be based out of Bangalore. We operate in a work-from-office setup and encourage everyone to be in office 5 days a week. This role is a strong platform for leadership and business-ownership roles down-the-line – giving you an end-to-end view of how a company with multiple businesses works across domains, along with visibility and access to its founders and leaders.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Build deep, first-principles understanding of a new opportunity area, frame the problem, and synthesize a coherent, executive-ready strategy
- Land bets internally – building leadership buy-in, organizational will, and the case to commit resources behind them
- Work with business-unit teams to stand up and program-manage pilots – as PMO, and in some cases as direct owner responsible for execution
- Help run the operating rhythm of the CEO's office for the Group's current strategy - supporting the annual and quarterly planning process and setting up the right metrics across businesses -ensuring alignment with the overall strategy
- Design the structures, mechanisms and metrics that keep long-term direction and short-term focus balanced - and drive execution and governance as PMO across business-unit teams to keep priority initiatives on track
- Build and advance a portfolio of strategic partnerships that act as accelerators and enablers of the strategy – researching partners outside-in, shaping win-win propositions, and program-managing them from first conversation through to launch
You are entrepreneurial to the core – a fast learner who can get on top of a complex, unfamiliar area quickly, build a credible hypothesis (often creative), and test it. You have a strong bias for action and the resolve to take things to a logical conclusion. You're driven, and you work through influence rather than authority - earning trust fast and the standing to be a real thought-partner. You hold two modes at once: thinking expansively about what's possible, then bringing the discipline to turn it into goals, plans, and results. And you stay sharp when priorities shift - which, in the CEO's office, they will - with an optimism that brings people with you.

- Exceptional analytical and structured-thinking skills – the ability to ramp on complex new areas quickly, build credible hypotheses, and test them fast
- A creative, entrepreneurial builder’s instinct with a strong bias for action – comfortable operating well outside business-as-usual and doing what it takes to reach a logical conclusion
- Compelling storytelling and communication – in person and in writing / slides
- The relationship skills to build trust with BU teams and influence without authority and the temperament to thrive in ambiguity while continuously structuring clarity for yourself
