We are InShared: an online insurer that does everything just a little differently. We started as a disruptor in the Dutch insurance world. Now we are on our way to expand internationally. We use smart technology to make our insurance services simple, fast and fair. Our goal is to build the best digital insurance product in the world.

Today, we are a team of 350 people, but soon we could be 500. To continue growing internationally, we are looking for entrepreneurial and energetic people who want to keep shaking up the insurance industry with us. What do we need? A Pricing Data Scientist who helps us to optimize our pricing with the use of predictive (machine learing) modelling.

As our Pricing Data Scientist you'll be working closely together with talented colleagues on the newest technology. With the pricing & analytics team, you'll be dynamically adjusting our pricing models, utilizing market data and performing conversion analysis to optimize profitability. This role requires meticulous data analysis and management, aimed at identifying market trends, detecting potential fraud, and enhancing pricing accuracy through statistical modeling, using both classical and AI methods. You will develop alert systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing insightful reports on pricing strategies.

In order to develop effective training models that are competitive with other insurers in all the countries where InShared is active, a strong mathematical foundation is needed. Next to that you are proficient in SQL, R/Python, ML-Ops and other relevant tools. But most important of everything you have a deep understanding the P&C insurance markets to ensure competitive and profitable pricing outcomes.

·       7+ years experience as (pricing) actuary
·       A university degree in a relevant field
·       Demonstrable experience in AI and machine learning
·       Experience with SQL, R (or Python) and ML-Ops
·       Strong communicative skills
·       Entrepreneurial and Proactive mindset
·       Fluent in English, spoken and written.
