About Insify

We sell a mix of insurance products to small businesses (SME's) in the Netherlands, Germany and France, and we are in the process of scaling into more markets.

Insurance is a numbers business, and most of those numbers are harder to trust than they look. Every product has its own lifecycle, its own risk reporting obligations and its own conversion funnel, multiplied by the nuances of every country we expand into. Most insurers live with that: a spreadsheet per question, a definition per team. We're building it differently: one metric layer that all teams argue from, so that a question gets answered once and the answer holds when we add the next product or country.

Insify is a high-growth scale-up backed by more than €40M from investors like Accel, Munich Re Ventures, and Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg. In five years we've expanded from the Netherlands into France and Germany. Our mission: become the European leader in AI-powered SME insurance.

You would join the Data & Analytics team, the team that defines the numbers Insify runs on. You would own how a product area is measured: what we track, what it means, and the experiments that decide the roadmap.

Together with a group of analysts & data engineers, you would work with Product & Growth teams on how a small business finds us, buys, renews and claims, and on where that changes as we add products and countries. The team serves groups with genuinely different needs: our growth efforts demand fast signals, risk and financial reporting need numbers that still reconcile months later.

You're joining at an exciting inflection point: we have real traction, proven scale, and the decisions about where to invest next are being made on the numbers you would produce.

  • Owning how a product area is measured and how Product and Growth decide on it: deciding what success looks like before anyone hands you a spec, and being the person leaders check with before a roadmap call
  • Designing and running A/B tests and reading them honestly, including when the result is ambiguous
  • Following how customers move through our products across markets, conversion, drop-off and retention, and explaining why it changes
  • Fixing how we measure things when you find a gap, in the metric layer as well as in the analysis
  • Challenging our ideas and bringing your own. We encourage each other to act this way, so you can expect the same from others
  • 5+ years as an analyst, with real ownership and influence of wider outcome
  • Ownership & impact instinct - when needed you go beyond your direct stack to get to results, be that ingestion, transformation or 'debugging' the product itself
  • Have a track record of defining metrics & KPIs yourself, rather than being told what to measure
  • Have a track record of interpreting the behavior behind cohort, funnel or conversion analysis, not just reporting on it
  • You get real leverage out of AI in your daily work, and you can say where it helped, and where it hurt
  • Not all of the above are hard requirements. If you're strong on most of these and eager to grow into the rest, we'd still love to hear from you.
  • Experience designing or running A/B tests and interpreting the results
  • Experience in B2B products, especially in insurance & fintech
  • Experience with a product distributed across different country markets
  • Experience with Databricks or dbt specifically
  • Databricks and dbt, with SQL-based transformation. If you have not worked with all of it, that is fine. We care more about how you reason from data than about which tools you have used before.
  • Competitive compensation that reflects responsibility and impact. For this role the range is €85,000 to €110,000.
  • Trust and autonomy. You'll have real ownership, room to make decisions, and space to shape your role as Insify evolves.
  • Hybrid working. 3 days in the office, 2 from home, up to 4 weeks a year working from abroad, and 25 holiday days.
  • Pension. We contribute 6% for you.
  • Alleo budget. €50 net a month to spend on whatever you want, from the gym to takeaway. It rolls over if you don't use it.
  • Learning and coaching. Internal leadership programs, and coaching to go with them.
  • A central Amsterdam office. Shared lunches, dogs, whiteboards, and Friday drinks.
  • Hardware & setup. A high-spec MacBook Pro, high-res monitors at the office, and comfortable ergonomic seating.
  • Location & Eligibility
