The Resources Management – Human Resources Unit (RM-HR) provides human resources assistance to all national staff members within the Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC), Philippines. These services include but are not limited to recruitment and selection of staff and non-staff, contracts management, personnel action preparation, benefits and entitlements processing, attendance and timekeeping, performance management, staff development, and HR policy implementation in coordination with the Human Resources Management in Geneva, Switzerland.
The intern will provide general HR and admin assistance to RM- HR unit. He or she will leverage the digitalization of HR processes, manage the HR e-filing system and ensure accuracy of HR records. Specifically, the successful candidate will assist with the following functions:
Assist in sending various HR correspondences to staff, routing documents for signature and maintaining trackers, in coordination with the HR Associates
Assist with the management of HR ticketing tool, reports preparation and presentations
Maintain and update staff member’s record in various HR platform including data management through scanning, labelling and e-filing of documents.
Support with the HR organized events and activities through coordination with various units and preparations of materials and supplies.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor., as deemed necessary.

Upon completion, the intern will be able to:
- Hands-on work experience in the field of human resources
- Exposure to a diverse and multi-cultural environment
- Familiarity with the different HR platforms and technology

Responsibilities
~2 min readDepending on experience and location, interns are granted a small monthly stipend to help offset costs. Interns benefiting from an internship allowance or scholarship granted by their university or other sponsoring body that includes financial remuneration or credits for coursework will not be eligible for the stipend.
IOM covers Interns against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the internship. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses. Interns are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work.
Any offer made to the candidate in relation to this vacancy notice is subject to funding confirmation.
Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, security clearances.
