Support to the IOM Mission in Poland across all programmes (including Humanitarian Response and Recovery, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, LMSI, etc.), as well as cross-cutting activities—with a particular focus on the implementation of the project funded by the Republic of Korea.

Consultant is contributing IOM Poland Communications Unit but also across the IOM Poland mission 
Tasks to be performed under this contract
  • Develop visual and multimedia materials to support the Mission’s programmes and activities, including video filming and editing, photography (and editing), graphics, charts, diagrams, icons and other visual assets, in line with IOM visual identity standards.
  • Prepare the newsletters and other updates forms for various channels and email communication (use of MailChimp) as requested.
  • Contribute to the preparation of website content and publish on the relevant platforms (website management). 
  • Support the planning, preparation and publication of social media content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and YouTube, including basic keyword optimization and alignment with communication campaigns and initiatives.
  • Apply relevant donor, partner and IOM visibility and branding requirements in coordination with the Communications team.
  • Support the implementation of communication and social media‑related campaigns, including coordination with relevant partners and basic monitoring of outputs.
  • Design layouts and visual elements for reports, information sheets, publications and presentations, and support the development and adaptation of templates (e.g. brochures, event materials, situation reports), including formatting for use in Publisher and Word, including preparing files ready for printing. 
Performance indicators for the evaluation of results
  • Visual and multimedia products: Minimum of X visual/multimedia materials produced per quarter, meeting IOM branding guidelines, with no branding corrections requested post‑approval.
  • Newsletters and email updates: 100% of planned newsletters and email updates distributed by agreed deadlines.
  • Website content: Website updates published within X working days of content approval; content accuracy maintained with no corrective republishing required.
  • Social media: Minimum of X posts published per platform per month, in line with the agreed communication plan.
  • Branding compliance: 100% of communication materials compliant with donors, partner, and IOM branding requirements, confirmed prior to dissemination.
  • Campaign monitoring: Communication campaigns monitored using agreed indicators (e.g. reach, engagement), with performance summaries produced for 100% of campaigns.
  • Reports and publications: 100% of reports and publications formatted in line with official IOM templates before submission or publication.
     

Requirements

  • University degree in Communications, Marketing, Political Science or a related field from an accredited academic institution, with a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in multimedia production and social media content development;
  • Experience working in multicultural and international environments is an asset;
  • Demonstrated experience using major social media platforms and digital communication tools;
  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with design and publishing software;
  • Creative approach with the ability to propose innovative visual solutions;
  • Good organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work independently and deliver agreed outputs within deadlines
     

For this consultancy:

  • Fluency in English is required;
  •  Strong command of Ukrainian and/or Russian is strongly recommended; 
  • Knowledge of Polish is an asset.
     

Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Responsibilities

IOM covers Consultants against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the consultancy. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses. Consultants are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work. 

Any offer made to the candidate in relation to this vacancy notice is subject to funding confirmation.

Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, security clearances.
