Under the overall supervision of the Resource Management Officer in Germany and direct supervision of the National ICT Officer, the Senior Information Management Associate will be responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of the Information Management Team, supporting effective use of IOM corporate migrant applications, high data quality standards, and optimized business processes in support of migrant operational assistance and services across the Missions.
Supervise and administer subordinated staff members; plan and approve absence of staff, monitor and evaluate the staff/team performance, provide guidance to the staff members; administer financial resources of the team, coordinate resource deployment.
Coordinate data management and reporting, including compilation, cleaning, analysis, and dissemination of operational and AVRR related statistical information to donors, counterparts, HQ, RO, and other IOM units.
Maintain data quality and integrity in IOM’s in‑house electronic applications, coordinating data correction with operational case workers as needed.
Conduct business analysis activities, including gathering and analyzing functional requirements from operational units providing migrant assistance and services.
Coordinate system enhancements by working with project managers and stakeholders to identify issues and propose solutions through improved business processes and SOPs, considering end‑to‑end workflows.
Provide guidance on system use, business processes, and standard operating procedures related to IOM corporate migrant applications.
Support local configuration and adjustments of IOM corporate migrant applications and act as the Mission focal point for these systems.
Support operational staff in resolving functional and technical issues related to IOM applications.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma with six years of relevant experience; or,
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management or Statistical Science or related fields from an accredited institution with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Work experience in information management, data management, business analysis, or system support.
Working experience in Enterprise-Resource-Planning implementation and management, including troubleshooting and aligning policies and processes.
Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and coordinating information management activities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook.
Attention to detail, ability to organize paperwork in a methodical way.
Discreet, details and clients-oriented, patient and willingness to learn new things.
For this position, fluency in English and German is required (oral and written).
