This position supports the Supply Chain Unit, with a primary focus on warehouse and inventory management. Under the overall supervision of the Head of Resources Management in Lebanon and direct supervision of the Senior Supply Chain Associate; the incumbent will assist in receiving goods, managing stock movements, maintaining accurate inventory records, in addition to providing general administrative support.
Assist in warehouse operations, including receiving goods, updating warehouse records in the database, and supporting dispatch of goods for operations in Lebanon.
Maintain accurate inventory records, including all stock movements (in/out), in the designated database/system.
Receive goods, verify quantities and quality against the issued Purchase Order/supporting documents, and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
Support proper storage, labelling, and organization of items within the warehouse(s) in line with IOM standards and best practices.
Process and document all stock movements, including preparing Goods Received Notes (GRNs), waybills, and stock release forms.
Support coordination with end-users and relevant units regarding the timely dispatch and delivery of items.
Monitor stock levels and report any shortages, damages, or expired items to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile them with the system records.
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure warehouse environment, in line with safety and security procedures.
Prepare periodic inventory and stock reports as requested by supervisor.
Undertake any other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution with one year of relevant professional experience; or
High school diploma with three years of relevant professional experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain support functions.
Experience supporting asset management processes.
Experience working with IOM/UN Procurement and Logistics Rules and Procedures is an advantage.
Experience working in an international organisation is an advantage.
Good level of computer literacy (e.g. MS Office and data entry systems).
Ability to work with national and international institutions.
Ability to assist in preparing clear and concise reports.
Good communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
All IOM staff members in all categories are required to be fluent in one of the IOM's official languages (English, French, Spanish).
For this position, fluency in English and Arabic is required (oral and written).
Working knowledge of French is an advantage.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
