We are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead our most complex and strategic initiatives for quantum networking, sensing, and security (QNSS). As a Staff TPM, you will be a pivotal leader in a cross-functional team, driving the mission to build the world’s best quantum products.
You will operate at the intersection of technology and business, ensuring that our programs not only meet technical specifications but also drive significant business outcomes and operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Oversee the delivery of strategic quantum networking and security programs, prioritizing production site management, supply chain alignment, and the coordination of work order releases to meet business goals.
- →Manage production capacity models and material flow strategies while providing financial oversight. Report on site readiness and strategic planning to senior leadership.
- →Analyze operational data using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements. Use quantitative information to increase efficiency and develop continuous improvement initiatives.
- →Advise engineering, supply chain, and product teams on material flow optimization and market requirements. Ensure production constraints and best practices are integrated into product roadmaps.
- →Serve as the primary cross-functional communication touchpoint and mentor, providing guidance and facilitating collaboration among engineering, supply chain, and R&D teams.
- →Apply production and systems engineering expertise to oversee line setups and the development lifecycle. Mitigate risks associated with material handling and operational workflow.
- →Coordinate with supply chain managers, engineers, physicists, and R&D specialists to resolve programmatic dependencies to meet contractual milestones.
- →Deliver status updates and risk analyses on site readiness, material flow, and program execution to executive stakeholders and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in production and site management, with a proven track record of managing complex hardware and software integration projects from concept to delivery.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Lean and Six Sigma practices to capture data and drive quantitative improvements in operational efficiency and inform strategic decisions.
- A deep understanding of how to set up production lines, optimize material flow in constrained spaces, and implement continuous improvement strategies in a manufacturing setting.
- Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a technical discipline with a focus on classical sensing, secure communication, or networking.
- Professional certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or equivalent Lean Manufacturing credentials.
- Experience with program management and ERP tools such as Jira, SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong business acumen with experience in production capacity modeling, material readiness forecasting, and driving site-level operational changes.
- Experience leading prototype-to-production transitions, specifically focusing on setting up new production lines and supply chains.
