IronMountain Solutions is seeking a highly qualified Configuration Manager / Data Manager (CM/DM) supporting an upcoming Long Range Standoff Weapon (LRSO) effort in Huntsville, AL.  Job duties include but are not limited to: review and management of vendor drawings, models, and associated lists, review and boarding of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), receipt, review and disposition of CM related CDRL (Contract Data Requirements Listing) data, planning and conducting Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), review and writing of CM related CDRL requirements and SOW (Statement of Work) language on new or modified contracts, working with subcontractors/OEMs on CM issues, managing CDRL workflows and reporting, ensuring compliance with Government CDRL requirements, and facilitating meetings, reviews or associated CM activities for the program office—from contract award through final delivery and closeout.

  • Bachelor of Art/Bachelor of Science degree with at least five (5) years of experience in Configuration Management and Data Management, or greater than ten (10) years of experience without a degree.
  • Knowledge of current DoD drawing standards and Configuration Management Military and Commercial Standards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of USG correspondence regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in handling large volumes of data.
  • Ability to identify, develop, and maintain stakeholder requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Engineers to create and review ECPs
  • Establish/manage Configuration Change Board (CCB) process for both hardware and software control
  • Perform Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA).
  • Review Specifications, Parts Lists, Assembly, Application and Source Control, Vendor Item Drawings for correctness.
  • Review CM related SOW and DID language prior to contract award, ensuring accuracy and tailoring as appropriate for program needs.
  • Establish and document standard processes and procedures for CM related activities.
  • Ensure contractor/vendor compliance with contract requirements. Review contractor CM plans and related processes ensuring contract compliance.
  • Perform Data Management duties to route CM deliverables and draft contract approval/disapproval letters, ensuring a timely response to the CM related CDRLs.
  • Partner with Safety, Production, and Quality Management/Assurance/Engineering (QM/QA/QE) to ensure any changes identified by quality escapes and/or safety are identified and updated via the CCB in the TDP.
  • Support the development of plans, policies, and procedures for Data Management activities.
  • Review contract deliverables to verify compliance with requirements, as defined in the contract, DD Form 1423, and the Data Item Description (DID). This includes working with cross-functional teams to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Review data deliverables upon submission for data distribution and intellectual property legends in accordance with contract documentation.
  • Manage deliveries and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL) in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool and coordinate with leads/CDRL owners on timely review and delivery.
  • Develop workflows and requirements that create uniformity across contract documents.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel is estimated at <10%

Clearance Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required. Per federal requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible
