IsraAID ensures effective humanitarian access and program implementation in complex operational environments. This position will support our efforts in addressing bureaucratic and logistical challenges while facilitating coordination and communication with key stakeholders. 


 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 


 

GENERAL: 

  • Record transactions into the IsraAID bookkeeping file on a regular basis ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and treated consistently in accordance with IsraAID’ s accounting policies 
  • Ensure that all expenses are supported by soft copies of receipts  
  • Be familiar with donor agreements and make sure spending is in line with donor restrictions 
  • Review and manage all partner agreements and donor agreements 
  • Review financial reports from partners and make sure they comply with our reporting standards, they are in compliance with the contract, and all expenses are supported by copies of receipts 
  • Assist in preparation of financial reports for partners and for donors  
  • Regular and ad hoc financial reporting and analyses for different stakeholders  
  • Ensure internal (with agreements) and external (with internal guidelines) compliance 
  • Support in budget design and implementation. 
  • Ensure payments to suppliers and recurrent expenditures are made in a timely manner with the appropriate authorization and in line with the organization’s internal procedures 
  • Work closely with Head of Mission, operations and Project staff on financial program management  
  • In charge of monitoring budget to actual.  
  • Provide guidance to personnel on policies and procedures 


 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND COMPETENCIES  


 

Required skills & experience:  

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related fields 
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated working experience in financial officer and accounting, ideally in the non-profit sector/UN Agencies 
  • Confident & proficient in the use of MS Office, and advanced Excel proficiency. 
  • Experience working with financial systems. 
  • Analytical, organized and process-oriented person 
  • Team player as well as independent thinker 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a high workload and multiple tasks with tight deadlines 
  • Good interpersonal skills to establish strong working relationships with colleagues
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
