itD is seeking a Data Engineer III to design, build, and optimize scalable data infrastructure that enables reliable analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and data modeling, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data pipelines, production-ready datasets, and scalable analytics solutions in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
- →Build and maintain dashboards, reporting solutions, and production-ready datasets that enable self-service analytics.
- →Develop and optimize SQL queries, data models, and warehouse structures to improve performance, scalability, and data quality.
- →Partner with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to validate metrics, ensure data integrity, and support analytical initiatives.
- →Monitor data pipeline health, troubleshoot production issues, implement alerting, and maintain service-level expectations.
- →Create and maintain well-documented data assets, including data models, pipeline documentation, and operational processes.
- →Support ad hoc data requests while continuously improving data architecture, reporting capabilities, and engineering best practices.
- →Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
- →Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
- →Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
- →Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
- →Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
- →Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (Presto, Hive, SparkSQL).
- Experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines using orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar platforms.
- Proficiency with Python or a comparable scripting language.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and production data architecture.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and data quality management skills.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
- Experience with large-scale distributed data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Experience building dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar BI tools.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and instrumentation frameworks.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or Mercurial.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Previous experience at Meta or another large technology company.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field required.
