IVX Health is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support our pharmaceutical supply chain by ensuring medications are available to deliver safe, timely patient care. This role is responsible for pharmaceutical purchasing, inventory management, vendor coordination, and procurement support while helping maintain an efficient, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain across our growing network of infusion centers.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage Pharmaceutical Purchasing: Review patient schedules and coordinate medication purchases to support scheduled treatments. Verify vendor pricing, reconcile invoices, and resolve purchasing discrepancies.
- →Oversee Inventory Management: Monitor medication inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing waste. Lead monthly inventory counts, reconcile inventory variances, and investigate discrepancies related to receiving, transfers, dispensing, and shipping.
- →Support Procurement Operations: Monitor procurement system utilization, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy, and maintain documentation related to invoice discrepancies, medication waste, shipping issues, and inventory variances.
- →Analyze Purchasing Performance: Prepare procurement and inventory reports, monitor purchasing trends and rebate performance, and provide insights that support operational and financial decision-making.
- →Collaborate Across the Organization: Partner with regional teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve procurement issues, support new clinic openings, and ensure uninterrupted medication availability despite changing patient schedules.
- →Drive Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to procurement workflows, inventory controls, and purchasing processes that improve operational efficiency and strengthen supply chain performance.
- →Support a Remote Team Environment: Maintain productivity, responsiveness, and data security while effectively collaborating across departments in a remote work environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain best practices.
- Experience working with purchasing or inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical products, terminology, and procurement processes preferred.
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Three or more years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, vendor management, customer service, or a related field.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical procurement, healthcare supply chain operations, or inventory management preferred.
Pay is based on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and is benchmarked against similar organizations in our size and industry. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the posted range, as compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular employees are eligible for 401(k), health benefits, and other company-provided benefits.
