As a Medical Assistant at IVX Health, you’ll be the face of our patient experience. Your role combines meaningful patient interaction with administrative and clinical tasks, helping our centers run smoothly and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care. From taking vitals to scheduling appointments, you’ll support our nurses and healthcare professionals while contributing to the overall patient journey.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Welcome and check-in patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- →Assist with scheduling, medical records, and updating insurance information.
- →Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms and taking patient vitals.
- →Assist with infusions, subcutaneous injections, and documenting patient care.
- →Help maintain clinic inventory, equipment, and supplies.
- →Perform lab draws, phlebotomy, and other clinical tasks as needed.
- Enjoys interacting with patients, nurses, and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent customer service with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to take and record vital signs and administer medications and injections.
- Capable of documenting patient care accurately in the EMR and handling telephones and scheduling appointments.
- Demonstrates ethical healthcare and business practices, ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
Requirements
~1 min read- Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant program, with certification.
- Active and valid Medical Assistant certification or licensure in the state of employment. Candidates must ensure their certification remains current and meet all applicable state-specific regulatory requirements.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Experience in an infusion therapy setting is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or GED.
Pay is based on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and is benchmarked against similar organizations in our size and industry. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the posted range, as compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular employees are eligible for 401(k), health benefits, and other company-provided benefits; some of these benefits may also be available to part-time employees.
